UTM link builder

Build a correctly tagged campaign link, with checks for the mistakes that quietly split your reports. Nothing you enter is saved.

Who sent the traffic, e.g. google, newsletter, partner-site

The channel type, e.g. email, social, cpc

The promotion, e.g. spring_sale

An ID for the campaign, if you use one

The paid keyword, mostly for search ads

Tells apart links in one campaign, e.g. top-button vs footer-link

Your tagged link

https://www.example.com/spring-menu?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=spring_sale

Checks

Looks consistent. Remember: only tag links from other sites, emails and ads — never links between your own pages.

How it works

  • Tagged link = page address + ?utm_source=…&utm_medium=…&utm_campaign=… (plus optional utm_id, utm_term, utm_content)
  • Existing utm_ tags on the address are replaced; other query parameters and #anchors are kept.

How to read it

Values are case sensitive, so “Email” and “email” show up as different mediums. Agree a naming list with your team, and never tag links between your own pages.
